Our new home, “The Just Imagine Cottage” at the former Central State Hospital campus in Milledgeville, GA
Our dream is to create “Destination Depot: History, Art & Culture.”

Museum Supporters Give Big on GA Gives Day, November 28, 2017
Here’s the latest--Baldwin County and central Georgia were the big winners on GA Gives Day when Georgia’s Old Capital Museum Society exceeded its $50,000 goal for donations on GA Gives Day/Giving Tuesday. All proceeds raised support the renovation of a new cultural center, “The Depot: History, Education, & Culture in Central GA”, in the 1891 train depot on the Central State Hospital campus. Support came from 106 donors who raised $52,218 to collect an additional $50,000 Match Grant Challenge by an anonymous donor. By midnight on November 28th, the Museum had placed 8th in the State “Most Dollars Raised” category and 2nd in Baldwin County in terms of its total GA Gives Day donations. So exciting! Thank you so much to all of our supporters.
